The Malayan tiger population, according to the 1st National Tiger Survey (1st NTS) in 75% of 44,00km2 survey plot from 2016 to 2020 is less than 150.
If no drastic measures are taken to address the decline of the Malayan Tiger population, Malaysia will most likely lose the species to extinction in five to ten years.

Yes, an official receipt for the contribution will be issued by the PERHILITAN Headquarters for contributions other than those made via QR code or e-wallet, subject to the provision of complete donor information.
However, proof of contribution made through QR code or e-wallet can still be used for tax exemption purposes.
Yes, contributions are eligible for tax relief from LHDN. The official receipt from PERHILITAN is a proof of contribution.
In addition to the official government receipts (Kew-38), the following documents are also accepted as proof of contribution to the campaign fund, for deduction purposes:
- Automated Teller Machine (ATM);
- Cheque Deposit Machine;
- Cash/Bank Draft over-the-counter;
- Online cash transfer;
- Cash transfer via Interbank Giro;
- Real-Time Electronic Transfer Fund and Securities Systems (RENTAS); and
- Telegraphic Transfer
- Documents are valid for tax deduction for contributions made within the period of March 17, 2019 through December 31, 2025.
Receipts for contribution transactions made via QR payment or e-wallet may be used as proof of donation to the Save the Malayan Tiger Campaign Fund for the purpose of claiming tax deductions within the specified period, from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2030.
Taxpayers are required to retain proof of the transaction in accordance with the provisions under Section 82A of the Income Tax Act 1967 for the purpose of tax deduction under Subsection 44(6) of the same Act.

Global Tiger Day 2019
Global Tiger Day 2019 was held on July 28th, 2019 at Le Meridian Hotel Putrajaya. The event was also to acknowledge donations from corporate bodies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), universities, schools and KATS staffs to the Save Our Malayan Tiger Campaign fund in total of MYR 1,344,800.00.
The Save Our Malayan Tiger campaign which has started in 2019 until 2020 is an initiative to mobilize conservation efforts to save the endangered Malaya Tiger population.
Save Our Malayan Tiger Aircraft Livery
The Airbus A320’s livery is part of AirAsia’s efforts to support the environmental conservation agenda and encourage all Malaysians to support Government programs. AirAsia also helps with other environmental campaigns including sponsorship of Pameran Hutan Kita.
